The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe has 2.3 million acres of beautiful land that consist of rolling prairie grasses and flowers, buttes and badlands, valleys and rivers throughout the region. The Tribe is located along Lake Oahe, the Missouri River, Grand River and the Cannon Ball River, which offer the best fishing in the area.
For the adventure of the outdoors, we offer camping at the Prairie Knights Marina near Fort Yates, North Dakota on Lake Oahe and at The Bay on the Grand River. Camping at the marina has 32 RV sites with fire rings and electrical hookups. There are also tent camping sites at the marina. Fresh water supply is available for campers, along with showers and restrooms. We provide 24-hour security and we have an RV dump station for your convenience. We have a 12 boat ramp and slip along a large paved, fully lit parking lot and fish cleaning house at Prairie Knight Marina.
The Bay has six cabins and 70 campsites for RV and tents with hookup, showers, dump stations and a playground. The Bay has a boat ramp and fishing cleaning station.
Lake Oahe’s 231 miles long reservoir on the Missouri River offer boating, fishing, canoeing, water skiing and so many other water sports for the outdoor enthusiast.
The river has abundance of northern pike, chinook salmon, perch, smallmouth bass and walleye for your fishing pleasure. The Quik Mart and the Bay offer bait and tackle shop for the adventurous fishermen.
The picnic area located at Prairie Knight Marina offer shelters with tables and fire rings. Volleyball and horseshoes equipment is available for use by the guests at Prairie Knights marina. The Bay offers a playground, picnic area with shelters and fire rings.
For hiking, biking and natural trails, come and explore the native grasses, flowers and natural formation of Standing Rock. Interpretative trail are available at Prairie Knights Marina and at Sitting Bull College.
